Well, after really messing up the last poll on this subject, let me see if i can get it right this time! The worst of it is that I have to listen to Tom, aka rockintom, gloat over "I told you so, 'See', 'See', 'See'!".

Thanks Tom and Frank (aka Greenthumb) for setting me straight!

We would be more than willing to accomodate your wishes by adding a chat room for Excel Owners...I will await the results of the poll and notification from your Forum Leader.

Our sincere thanks to each and every one of you for your continued support of iRV2.

Thanks Bob! Again, speaking on behalf of our Excel Family, we are very appreciative of your making room (home) for us on iRV2.com in November 2006.

I'm missing something here I think. What would the chatroom add vs our current discussions? Now don't label me a negative on this topic just yet, I'm just being inqusitive.

Virgil, other than being more convenient for group discussion and interaction, nothing. There are merits to both with the forum providing a library of topics/information for later reference.

You are welcome to post a selected time to use the chat room. Just click on the <Chat> button in the right hand end of the tool bar.

You will need the latest Java Apalets in order to use the chatroom and you local firewall may be an issue. I can ot load the chat rooms from work due to firewall restrictions, but at home I do not have any problems.

Generally, it was a lack of interest back in 2007. If someone ('Money Bags') would like to take on, I'll jump in and give it a try -- except for the next week, we are in a terrible connection area.

If there is enough interest, we can add a Excel room. For now once you log in, switch to the Fireside chat if it is not in use. Otherwise choose one of the other rooms that is not in use. I hope you can get some of the folks join in and get the room active. The Chatters were checking in every evening and Winnebago and Workhorse are generally weekly.

It is also a good place to invite potential Excel owners to ask question is a live environment.

Chief I would gladly take this on but I think it would be easier if another poll was drawn up. When you asked about it in the old forum was it going to be set up as an Excel Chat that the room was always open? I would be in favor of that so one wouldn’t have to PM back and forth if one of our members is having a problem. It would be much quicker tool to help them. The way it sounded by Tx ICE man's reply, one has to make a reservation to use it. It would sort of be like a man with a wife and four daughters trying to use the same bathroom to get ready in the morning. The reason I am suggesting a new poll if folks are interested is because we have four time zones and seven days in a week to make a decision for a once a week camp fire. If folks are interested I’d have to ask one of the uppers set up a new poll. I myself think it might be fun.

No reservation to use it. Just make sure no one else is using it. The rooms are open 24/7 for anyone to use. If you are online and find some one else, you can meet in an open room and chat away.

Great news.....You now have a chat room for Excel.

When you log into the chat rooms, you will be in the lobby and can go into any chat room you want to use...but you now have one for your use. Go for it and enjoy life.

I'd suggest a poll to see when would be a good time/times for you to get your owners group online. Schedule a time when you can get the Excel managers online too and post an announcement.
