I wanted to start a new thread for comments about the 2009 Excel owners family reunion.

First of all, I want to thank: Bryan, Peterson Industries, every one who helped put on the reunion, and all of the citizens of Smith Center.
You all are wonderful people and we had a great time.
This was our 3rd reunion and even though the attendance was down, I think we had the most fun this year.

Lots of great owners to visit with. Oh ya, then Rocking Tom showed up!!! We luv ya Tom

Again, a big Thank you to Bryan for all the help he gave me.

Red

What a great time we had. It was great putting the face to the name in real life.

Bryan and everyone else there at Smith Center, you all "rock". This was a great time for us. We really appreciate everyone's hard work. Thank you sooooo much!

And yes, we even had a fun time having Rockin Tom stay with us. It was truly an experience.

I agree with everything said above. Having been in Smith Center several times in the past, working there back in the the late 1970's and early 1980's, I have always thought the the folks in SC are the most friendly people in the state of Kansas. Great Reunion, great food, great entertainment, great displays, great folks all around, and thanks to Tim for putting up with SKIA.

Larry & Billie,

Thanks for the compliment but I think the real thanks for putting up with Tom goes to my DW, Roseann. She had to put up with Tom & me at the same time. She now feels that Donna will be a nominated for saint hood. Just think, Donna already has her three miracles. She's still with Tom, hasn't killed him yet and still loves him.

Safe travels to you and Billie.

Hi all,
We were 1st timers at the reunion and can't say enough good things about our time there. My arm is sore from having to wave at everyone. I don't think anyone passes without one. The workers from Peterson all went way beyond what anyone could expect, all the while smiling and really caring. We also met many friendly and fun people from all over.
If you haven't done this I really encourage you to save a spot in your schedule 3 yr. from now.
P.S. We are here having service work done and the facility is like nothing I've seen. Hook up with elec. and cable. Showr and laundry. plenty of comfortable seating, multiple tvs, and wifi. Hope you don't have to need it but if you do, it sure is nice.

ray/wendy...
It is great to hear from some of the silent members here. I am glad to hear it was such a great experience for you...and it is something I would personally like to attend one year...even though I don't own an Excel - (Bryan...would you allow a Monaco to sneak in?)
I have learned from almost everyone here that PI does such an excellent job at everything they do...including the Reunion...that I would be surprised if someone did not have a great time!

I would like others to let us know if we have any new members who have joined here because of the Family Reunion - along with just who bought new rigs!!

MM, I told you awhile back that you need to convert to an Excel.
I know Sac's reply but what the heck, buy an old used one for sale. I hear there are a couple on the market. Don't know who.

I'll send you some pictures to post later as I have foot high grass to mow.

MM after meeting some of the people that use this site I can understand why you have to keep your whip. It was great to meet everyone and to have seen them face to face. I can understand why so many of us do not use our picture on our space.

I also thought the new Winslow was pretty neat.

What fun we had! This is my second reunion and the best yet. So many folks to see and meet. I even ran into my GM buddy that talked me into the Excel. He's only been RVing for 30 something years!!! PI outdid themselves and made it a point to make everyone feel welcome. I was surprised that Bryan introduced SKIA in front of the whole bunch. I was embarrassed.....but I got over it pretty quick. Can't believe Tim and Rosie (Endeavor2BnC) put up with me the whole 5 days. Treated me like royalty the whole time. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm still flying higher than a bottle of Oak Poop! Anyone ever use the Betty Ford clinic? Wonder if they ever run a "special" on drying out? Gotta get to fixing' things my bride broke while I was gone. 2 day/nite shades need restringing and of course my gray tank fiasco. She musta had a heck of a party while I was gone!!! rockin'

This was our 3rd Reunion and they all have been great!! It truly is a Reunion as there are so many people that this is only time you get to see them. PI did a great job, can't wait till 12, the Kansas weather is sure changeable as it was almost cold on Tue and Wed and quite warm the remainder of the time.

It was great to put face to a name.

Dan
