I'm trying to find the manufacturer of the rear ladders on our Excels. I've got several screws in the rungs and ladder braces that have rusted and are starting to stain the aluminum. Probably standard fasteners that I could match at a large hardware store, but I would prefer going to the manufacturer.

Chief,

What about a trip to the local hardware store and get Stainless Steel? No rust

Chief I agree with Larry about the stainless screws. I will need to replace mine soon for the same reason and will use 'matched' stainless when I do.

Surco seems to be a supplier of ladders and other accessaries, don't know if they do the Excel.

Thanks Larry and Chris. Update, purchased the stainless steel screws and installed. Removed any rust from around the mounting holes. Also replaced all the screws in the end of each rung, 3 on each side, 6 to a rung.

Drilled two 3/16" holes in the bottom rung of the ladder to allow the water to drain -- about a 1/4 of a cup drained out.

Too danged hot out there right now. I'll be removing the 1/4" X 3" ladder mounting screws again and sealing around the ladder and braces with silicone prior to installing.

The manufacturer of the ladder should have thought about drain holes on the bottom of the ladder.

On my '06 TRW, the sticker on the rear ladder indicated it was manufactured by "Atwood"
