I just don't want to find out later that I should be running it with the doors opened.
I've searched the Excel Owner Manual and the Whirlpool literature and find nothing pertaining to this subject. Anyone know? Thanks,

Your mouth is always open and a lot of hot air always comes out, take a clue.

Tom,
It might be easier to measure the volume of exhaust air at the outside dryer vent with the closet doors open and also with the doors closed. If there's no significant difference in the two measurements you can assume that the dryer is receiving sufficient air with the doors closed. However, in this case do not be lulled into a false belief that all is well. You will now need to compare the amps drawn by the dryer with the doors open and closed. Only if you see no difference here can you truly relax and close the doors.
Don't you wish that you still had that '04 35FLR?
Jim
P.S.: I believe that Still has laid SKIA to rest, permanently.

Silly rabbit....there were no '04 FLRs....'04 was a reversed floorplan to what you have and was called an FLE....weird setup. Can you image coming in the front door on the roadside and other weird stuff like awning set up on the roadside!!! That one didn't last long.
I'll take your other suggestions to my advisory council (happy hour group therpy session) and run it by my "think tanks"!!!
