Sarah and I are in the negotiating process with our Excel dealer and I have a question. How do you like the furniture in the Excel? We are looking to buy a Limited 36GKE. I would appreciate any and all feed back.
Thank you,
Ken

Welcome to the forum! In my opinon, of all the higher end 5th wheels, Excel has the nicest quality furniture. And also in the last few years, they've even gotten a little more snazzy with their color combination. Tables, chairs, and bedding are all nice stuff.

Come back and join us anytime and hope you enjoy the new Excel. rockin'

Ken..I would also like to welcome you to iRV2 and the Excel Forums!
To answer your question -no matter what rig you buy- you must consider how long your legs are and how deep the sofa/cushions/chairs are. Will you fit well in them?

Again-welcome to the forum - we hope you visit & post often!

I am not sure how many know that the fine folks at Excel build and cover the furniture. Trish and Joell do beautiful work.

Learn something everyday, I thought they just did the mattress tops, window treatment, sofa coverings and the like. I thought the rocker recliners, Euro chairs, ottomans and tables were from an outside source. Maybe Bryan will help clearing my confused little mind (IQ-14) up! Inquiring minds wants to know. Thanks! rockin'

Last year when I ordered mine they would only take $300 off the deal for all the furniture. You are better to take it, give it to charity for a tax write off and buy what you want.

I forget you are one of them sensitive liberals! Sorry you cant use a tax write off, but think about it..try and replace two recliners and a hide a bed at Camping World for $300, and thats not even hauled and loaded. For a $300 investment, you can write off quite a bit more..

Rockin, I thinks we are getting . Khoenig I was unhappy with the furniture in my first Excel. I had problems with the magic store sofa, took it back to the factory and it never was adjusted properly. If I was you I ask the dealer to leave you alone and just sit in the trailer you are looking at, and decide if the furniture is comfortable to you. Have them hook up shore power and watch a DVD. Good luck!

HPD,

You're right we be O.T. On my FLR, the magic sofa wasn't an option.....I've heard other fuss about that deal. In years past, many folks have accused poor ol' Vaughn as being responsible for the color coordination in the older units (I.E. interior decorator)....that's funny right there, I don't care who you are! Duana will probably kick my be-hind when we see them in the RGV this winter. South Texas....here we come!!! Yee Haa!

We've been living in our Limited for over two years now and I like the way the furniture had held up. I'm about 6 feet tall and I think the back of the larger of the two recliners is a tad short but other than that, I'm very happy. We have bomber jacket leather coverings on the couch and both recliners and it is still very attractive.

(Mandy, pls notice that I refrained from engaging in the verbal tomfoolery like RockheadTommie and HPD)
