It is official now. We wrote the check today, hooked up and towed about 12 miles from the dealer and are going to spend the night in our new L36CLO, bomber jacket leather recliners, couch and all.
After all the bad PR I gave Family RV, Statesville, NC in my post two weeks ago, I need to say that they really went all out to make this visit pleasant and they succeeded in doing so. Our experience today was the way it should have been two weeks ago. They had attempted to fix every one of the items on our PDI list. There are still a couple items that are a tad bit concerning but with two years warranty, we were comfortable in taking possession today.
THANKS PIfor any behind the scenes influence and your authorization of "fixes". We are dazzled by the quality.

Congrats Virgil & Jo! P-l-e-a-s-e correct your signature to reflect your new "Excel" versus that other brand!
My apology to Virgil & "Jo" for the brain-far# in typing their surname as Jo's given name.

Virgil & Jo,
Congratulations. The 05s seem to have been a very good year. Yes....the quality shows and the longer you use it the more of that you will find. There is a lot of it not readily visible to the casual glance. The bomber leather makes the coach stand out among all the competition. Too bad PI has discontinued it. By the way, it (the leather) gets even better the more you use it.
During the initial use be especially vigilant for small water leaks. Especially in the basement area. As with anything new and complex there will be a few small glitches at first.

MakinSmoke,
Good luck on your new rig. I'm sure you will enjoy.
