This is for Bryan. DW and I just returned from the NM Excel Club rally in Creede, Co. and what a fantastic weekend!! These gatherings are also good for picking up new ideas from other RV'ers and the DW did not let the time go to waste. She has found out that P.I put "folding dining chairs" in some rigs. Now it has become my task to find out how we go about acquiring the chairs. Any help would be appreciated.

And we like ours. Store them under the bed until needed. I think we got the second pair built as someone from NM won the first set at the 2009 Family Reunion in the Trapshoot Contest. We had to pay for ours.

We didn't like ours. In fact, the *regular* (i.e., non-folding) dining chairs started coming loose at the joints within a few months after purchase. We took the chairs apart, reglued all the joints, and even added "gussets" at all the corners. That worked for a few months, but then they started to come apart again. So we got rid of them and bought two office chairs (we sit at the dining table, anyway, with our computers...the only place we have to work).

I think part of the problem with our chairs was the fact that they didn't have a cross bar between the front two legs, allowing the chairs to "twist" as one got in and out of them.

Maybe its just me but I find the folding dining chairs that came with our 07 Diplomat heavy, hard to set up and fold back without pinching a finger, not to mention to me very uncomfortable. Every time we invite people over for dinner or cards I complain about those !~@#$%^! chairs. We were in Walmart one day and I saw some folding chairs for $35 each that were not bad looking fold up smaller and much more comfortable. I talked DW into buying a couple but she wanted to recover them to match the MH.

Well, just when I was figuring out where to have this done she said just take the bottoms of of the old chairs a put them on the new and your done. It worked! and now no more complaints from me much more comfortable lighter, easy to fold, and less room to store.

Community Moderator must have moved this thread to a common area. I thought we were talking amongst ourselves.
