Has anyone heard of or had this problem? Last night when the wife opened the frig door, it fell on the floor and her foot. The plastic corner that sits on the bottom pin snapped off. We were able to get it back on, but now opening the frig door is a two person job. It's a Norcold with the oak front.

Yep, my fault. I didn't have the locks in place, and the door open and fell on the floor, when I was moving it. I had to order new hinges, and the plastic trim.
I also found that oak panel, to be real heavy. I replaced it with a piece of 1/8 oak panel from home depot.

Oh come on guys....give Don a break. It's a known issue on the later model Norcolds.....I think starting in '07. Check out this thread Replacing norcold refrigerator door It includes pix on page 2.

Our old '05 model has metal hinges and we've had no issue with them. HTH Don
