The brown hose inside your E-Z-Pivot??

We bought our rig in 11/06, but didn't start full timing until 08/07.

I replaced the hose today, but I found some pin holes way up near the "rig" end, so I'm guessing I should replace this hose more often.

What are your results??

Doug,
Our fiver is a 2005 but we bought it new in April 2007 and we have lived in it since. So far, no issues with the pipe.

I have noticed in various stores that there seems to be 3 or maybe 4 qualities of the spiral flexible sewer hose. I bought what I think is the top level and have used it as the "extention". When the stock hose goes out, I'm going to use the extention as a replacement. Also, I have been pretty good about keeping the stock hose covered and not exposed to the sun.
PS This is my best imitation of being serious.

Doug,
I replaced mine after about 8 months. It got pin holes more at the sewer end. It was from UV damage. I replaced with the better hose with a brown colored hose, which I believe is a 15 mil grade. This is when I added the co-extrusion pipe to the E-Z pivot. Since I added the co-ex I haven't had a problem now for over 2.5 years. IMHO the secret is using a decent grade hose, protect from UV and doing good rinses, including a final flush with the grey water. Works for us.

We're not 'full-timers' and replaced our connector hose after two-years due to pin hole leaks. As 'Rockin' stated, use a high quality of sewer hose. I would really like to find a clear hose to provide a visual as to when the tanks are empty/clean.

Chief,

I got a clear elbow that I put at the dump site sort of like this http://www.campingworld.com/browse/products/index.cfm/O...Adapters/prodID=3709

It does allow you to see when things are clean.

Should get plenty of practice around here.
