yes, we were right. it was the switch. got a new one under warranty and took the bad one apart to find water had gotten in and ruined it. these switches are not weatherproof. i will be putting a small bead of silicone around where the barrel is crimped into the switch body to seal it on both when i put everything back together. i also got a spare direct from barker manuf. along with the hex drive tool for manual operation. cost for both with shipping was $30. did some more research on the switch and found them available locally at an automotive electrical repair shop that does auto, truck, construction and farm equipt. made by cole-hersee p/n 55046. for you technical guys its a: DPDT polarity reversing momentary on-off-on forward-reverse toggle. wow, what a mouthfull. they also make a weatherproof boot thats much more heavy duty than the oem and seals better. they even come in different colors. cost on that switch with boot is about $15. i'm thinking i might also add a small o-ring over the barrel on the outside of the coach to help the boot seal even better. hope this might help someone else.........mjf

Good idea on adding sealant around those switches. What is so special about this hex wrench you got from them? Is it shaped different then what we carry and what size is it?

the drive tool is 9/16 hex 1 1/4" long with the last 1/2" machined round. a 3/16" roll pin 1" long is used as a drive tang through the round portion. the adapter p/n is bas-25902, cost $6.40. barker customer service told me this is what i need. the phone # is 269-965-2371......mjf

One was supposed to come with our coach, and when I didn't get it on PDI I did get one from Ralph when we visited S.C.
