Hi Jay...Welcome to iRV2 and the Excel forum!! I would like to also congratulate you on your Excel!!
I see Highplains Drifter has given you the link to the PDI checklist. It is a great tool to have with you when you go get your new rig. Please take your time & don't get rushed through. Here is a link to one more set of lists for all sorts of things...

You may also want to take someone with a video-cam with you. They can videotape the complete "walk-thru" of your rig...that way you have tape of all that was said & you can replay it many times to answer stuff that you will forget.

Again....welcome...we hope you visit & post often!

Howdy and congrats on the new rig. Excel has a better than average reputation than most RV's. But like all of them, there is a continuing list of things to maintain.

You will need to keep an eye on the tires and pressure,
battery water level,
wheel bearings and brakes,
roof joints for sealant and leaks,
Windows for leaks,
A/C filter
and so on.

On delivery of the rig, there are several PDI list to use. But from experience, do not sign any papers, hand over the check or leave with the trailer until you are 100% satisfied with the operation of everything. Make sure they demonstrate all systems and proper operation.

I suggest that you take along someone to video tape the demonstrations for you to review later. It is a lot of information to have thrown at you in a short time.

Hope you like the new rig.

Ken

Good luck with the new rig. We have to wait until November for ours so I was glad to see the link to all the check lists too. We also are newbies to all this isn't it great!
