It's seems to be pretty sturdy, and folds up to approximately 3.5" square. I mounted a couple of hanging brackets in the upper, forward wall of the basement to store it out of the way. The folded ladder is light enough for me to feed the top end into the bracket over the water softener, and then lift the foot end onto the curb side bracket without having to crawl into the basement. Speaking of the basement, it's still pretty empty, but we're slowly finding more stuff to keep in there.

Glenn,
Good idea and thanks for sharing. This post may have been better placed under the "Best Practice" sticky.
While this ladder is one I'd like to have in addition to my 12 ft. folding ladder.......my ladder is overall more practical for me. Also, I couldn't mount your ladder in my basement as I already have my co-ex sewer pipe and my aerosol can holders mounted on the basement (genbox) wall. Don't think I haven't thought about your set up though!!! I hang my folding ladder on the rear of my rig ladder. You come up some really good ideas......keep them comin' rockin'

I find this ladder fits my needs, 3-5 foot step ladder or 7-11 extension ladder.....I can reach every thing on my rig and it is light to pull out of my basement.

I have one of these also, the problem for me is that the steps are small and hurt the bottom of my feet..I remember seeing something that you could snap over them- but I don't know where...

If you ever have to open it up and place the feet against the side of the trailer, we found that a pair of hot pot gloves put over the feet do a great job of protecting the side of the trailer.
