Does anyone on the forum have hardwood floors instead of carpeting. If so, what do you use to clean them. Mine is dull and streaky no matter what cleaner I use. Do you think if I varnish the floor, it would be better looking and easier to clean?

We have lived in this fiver everyday since last August. Kitchen floor is "wood". Miss Jo only uses a weak Dawn solution and ours is still nice and shiney except where I dropped a screwdriver one day and put a little dent in it. I know, I know, I've not been authorized for screwdriver use.

I simply use vinegar and water solution in a mop or Swiffter Vinegar flavored pads. Drys nice and clean, no problems. Same as the hardwood in the stick and brick. Rockin'

Most times when we get in a unit that has wood floors in them and they are getting to the dull stage, we will polish them with Lemon Oil. Hand wipe them down real good with plenty of Oil on the rag, then go back over them with a dry rag to get the extra oil... May have to do this a couple of times or so to bring back the wood.
