Haul Gauge

Anyone hear of this thing? I would like to know my tongue weight without going to a scale and if this deal hits it in the ball park maybe worth $100. Right now I am still looking at reviews, but most seem to say it is “close” to scale. I guess it plugs into the OBD port and measures various thing to establish weights. Seems like wizardry to me.

I can not figure out how to make a link to the website but here is a screen shot of etrailer’s page which has a pretty good description. If you get bored check it out and see what you think, another gizmo??

Looks like they've got a competitor also.
I know nothing about either.

I checked that out, looks like they are under the same company. I will probably grab one and see what it does.

Haul Gauge

This also works for tongue weight.
$129 on Amazon.

https://www.sherline.com/product/she...-weight-scale/

Haulgauge looks interesting. It sounds like the tongue weight measurements would be off if using aftermarket helper springs or airbags.

I use CAT scales and an Excel spreadsheet for calculating the weight numbers. It's not real-time but I can enter the numbers from the tickets in just a few minutes and have the axle weights for truck and trailer axles, weight of truck, weight of trailer, remaining combined weight, pin weight, remaining truck payload, and remaining trailer payload. And it only cost me $12.00 for two weighs. Below is a .pdf version of the spreadsheet.
