Reel EZ Leak
I have fixed leaks in that area on my 2005 Excel several times. It is not hard but it can be time consuming depending on where the leak is. I think you are talking about where the hose connects to the check valve or where the check valve connects to the rig's "piping". If it is where the hose connects to the check valve you may need to replace the end fitting on the hose itself. My rig uses 1/2" hose and most large hardware stores carry only 5/8" fittings. Smaller hardware stores and most RV parts places carry the 1/2" fittings. You can cut off the hose fitting but you may have to remove the Reel EZ itself, disassemble it, and push more of the hose out the rear of the reel in order to have enough length to re-connect to the check valve. While you are doing all of this you can simply connect another garden hose to the check valve in order to have water to the rig.
If the leak is where the check valve connects to the rig's "piping". It is probably an easier fix. The plastic tubing is "PEX-a". It is not PVC or CPVC, or TYGON, or any other material that is carried by LOWE'S or Home Depot. PEX is specifically made for vehicle use. The fitting are usually readily available at RV parts stores. Factory installers use a special tool to "crimp" the tubing on to the fittings. The replacement fittings are "compression" style and can be hand-tightened.
Of course the easiest fix of all is if the check valve itself is leaking and that is a straight foreward replacement from your local RV store.
