I'm kinda lost....what are you trying to tell us here Gary? Your water pump crapped out? If so, why don't you fix or replace it? Just wonderin'!!!

Aha! Just found this post. Now everything makes sense. Not only are you fighting the resistance through the trailer water system, you are fighting a greater force, gravity. You are also fighting the anti-siphon tower attached to the city water inlet. Raising the pump up level with city water inlet or above may help. I am assuming access to the trailer pump is blocked.

Gary,

What's the top connection above the city and sewage sprayer connections? Looks like it should be a fill connection to me from this image.

I agree that you are forcing water past the check valve in the city water connection. Anyway to access the line that goes directly to the water tank from the city water connection? I'd look at adding a T and shut-off valve to allow a much more direct route if nothing else works.

Fred, I know you didn't ask me, but that is the optional GREY tank water flusher, just like the black flusher.

Well I'll be.... I don't have one of those and wondered sometimes why not.

I may see about a retrofit if I can find another place for the air gap device. Since I left a dedicated section of the underbelly to access the valve and tank ends, the job "might" not go too bad- LoL.

Thanks for the flush info.

Gary, If you are just transferring from jug to fresh water tank I think you could use the antifreeze suction hose bypassing any restrictors. I have not tried this yet but heard of this way. Any thoughts if should work to transfer from jugs to fresh holding.

We visit a couple state parks with electric only sites and sometimes stay 10-14 days. I have a nice, sturdy vinyl water bladder that folds fairly small yet holds enough to fill my fresh water tank. Lays on the truck bed/tailgate behind the hitch and I use a 1/2HP Liberty Pumps unit to transfer the water. With a 1400GPH rating I can fill that tank pretty quickly. Our '15 31IKE has the valve to divert the city water connection to filling the fresh water tank and this set up works great for refilling the tank in our campsite. I've got it configured just like Gary with two short hoses and the pump in between. With that powerful pump I can put it on the ground even with the bladder and fill elevated.
