David,

Looks like you need a Wild Cargo. I turned the back end into a Quilting room for Billie just so that we can have a table to eat, play cards, etc. in the living area. It gets the sewing machine and all the material out of the living quaters. Never have open the large back door yet.

Hermandutchman, I missed seeing that model at the show, but I talked to others that did see it. My next door neighbor at the park is a salesman for one of the dealers here in the Valley. He said they had one of those in his service shop and were working on it. He said it had four large chains that pulled the slide. I wonder if they have perfected that model. I did not ask what the problem was that they were working on. He did say those chains were really big.

Indeed ... we are about 5 hours drive from a model just like yours.

Joe and Bryan,

While I am not an Excel owner..(I prefer my rv to "self propel") as a longtime manufacturing/qa guy, your commitment to your company and your courage to face your customers directly is EXACTLY what will propel you to sucess!

Best of luck, and I believe all of us here on iRV2 have our eyes on you and your sucess!

Joe,

Congrats on your promotion! I've found in my career that going beyond the call of duty and being customer focus goes a long way. Networking with others in your trade both inside and out of your operation is a very good thing.

For me, a good moto to remember in all that you do is to "under promise and over deliver". A simple statement but it works great. Later, rockin'

Hi, Joe

My wife and I are coming to tour the plant Monday, Jan 25 at 9:00 a.m. I hope to see you while we're there. Frankly, your enthusiasm for the new QC program and pride in your products is one of the factors that moved us from thinking about buying an Excel "sometime" to ordering one right away.

Best,
Bill

Ditto, Tom. I think it's not only a lot of weight but I'd also be wondering about the lost "structural integrity" resulting from that big hole in the wall as well as the cantilevered load on the coach. Then again............
