Hitch Zerk

I see on my B&W Companion there is a grease zerk on bottom side of top half.

....and???? Do you have a question? A fifth wheel hitch plate should be lubed with grease, or if you don't want the mess plastic slide plates are available.

This is not for the plate but for other moving parts of hitch and only posted as a heads up for maintanence as you can not see it unless you remove top half of B&W, two pins and it pulls off, zerk is on bottom side. I have had hitch since 2006 and never knew. I do have a plastic disk for hitch plate as you referenced that stays on my Demco pin box instead of greasing plate.

As the link I provided points out, all the moving parts should be lubed regularly. The jaws, the saddle, etc. Lubrication helps keep the moving parts moving.
