I know this is a weird deal, so here goes!
While traveling on I-10 going thru Mississippi and Alabama the other day, we were tooling long about 55 MPH in the right lane as usual. All of a sudden a semi started to come by us and as soon as his tractor nose got to the rear of our trailer, he laid on the horn and stay on it until he got all the way pass us. The first time this happened I just thought the guy was having a bad day or ? About 50 miles down the road, the same thing happen again (different truck). So I pulled over and went over the rig including the underside to find nothing (bike rack, ladder, manual antenna + all). It happen again for the third time. At this point, I just ignored it. Still scared the HE** out of us, though!

My question, do you think this was some truckers
that were jacking with us by using their CBs to communicate? Or what? Maybe they heard of my reputation and wanted to with me.

Just thought I'd check it out with you folks. Am I just naive?

Thanks,
Tom

Well, we drove 225 miles the other day into FL to reach Tallahassee with no "horn honking" events. This clearly tells me that the truckers involved were probably playing on the CB and were just jackin' with us. Doesn't change my view that 98% of truckers are good folks, just like the rest of the world!

Since that was my first time an issue like this has happened to me, it was a bit scary and puzzling. rockintom

Tom,

It's been more than a week since your first post on this topic and no one else seems to have a problem. Therefore, given what I know of you from this forum (your postings + those of your fellow Court Jesters), I must surmise that the truckers were working you over for some well-deserved reason. Come on now, 'fess up! Whadja do?

Jim

P.S.: I won't rat on you!

Right on Jim

Let's develop the Top Ten Reasons why Rockintom got honked.

1) Tom's interior MD20/20 tank was low and he was driving erratically

More -

2) Tom's interior MD 20/20 tank was full and he was driving erratically.
3) Tom was busy on his laptop looking for clever gizmos to post, at the wrong time.
