How long does it take?

After years of loyal service, it is time to replace our L33 RKO with a new rig. For those that worked with Bryan or others at PI to spec a new unit before engaging a dealer, how long did the process take? I purchased my current unit new off the lot so this (if it happens) will be the first Excel I've had to order. It's not the manufacturing time I'm curious about, just the time it took to finalize the options and preferences on a configuration document.

Hi Steve,
Our WC took maybe a couple of weeks to get sorted out and that was with a entirely new model that we requested. Bryan made it happen very quickly and the dealer was hardly involved except to make the final deal and the delivery.

Our experience was about the same as Ricks. Using the web site, we were largely able to determine options we wanted etc. Then a few back and forths with Bryan pricing this or that. Marlene sent us upholstery swatches to choose from.

Our only work with the dealer was negotiating final price after trade working off the info Bryan sent them.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like I need to reach out to Bryan to see if I he can move things along.

We worked with Bryan this past summer on our new unit. We visited the factory and had a great tour. We then put our heads together and figured out what we wanted in the coach. It took some time but well worth the effort. Will be heading out soon. If you have the time, go to the factory and watch the process and meet all the great folks behind the scene….Helen and Randy

Thanks Helen and Randy for the reply. Bryan has contacted me and the process to configure a new Excel will begin soon. My sincere hope is to stay in the Excel family and we're off to a good start.

Unfortunately, with my retirement still 11-months away, I will not be able to travel to the factory any time soon. I'll make it back there eventually.

Steve
