I think when I retire I will do the exact oppose. I have lived a gypsy life style for many many moons and I think I'll be ready for a stick and brick.

Smoke, I thought you were no good at the repairs and now you've just let the world know it isn't true. I thought you wanted that as a big secret.

We sold all but some antique furniture, oak dining room set, and other family "heirlooms". It all sits in an environmental-controlled storage. May be there quite a while.

Man, I hear ya, rockin! I re-read what I posted a couple of day ago at the end of a BAD day at work! I was ALL fired up! But I've since calmed down, at least a little bit.

I sold my stix n brix in early 2001. I have a few things such as photos, etc in a family member's basement, but the rest was shared with family or donated. I have loved every minute of over 9 1/2 yrs on the road and not looking to stop anytime soon. This was something my late husband and I talked about doing for years. He never got the opportunity so if you are thinking about it do your research and if it's right go. Always realize as a couple it is a small space to share and at times you each need your space. That is the most common thing I hear from people.

This is a great thread. We sold our home 2 years ago when we decided we wanted to have a simpler life. Got rid of all the stuff. Sold some, gave away a lot and donated more. The photos were all digitized and we got down to basics (even have a little extra space in the cupboards) It was hard at times but mostly very liberating. We have been meeting many like minded individuals on the road and a few from this very forum that we now consider friends. We have just begun our travels and Endeavor, thanks for your words, it is the very reason we chose this lifestyle. I agree we are very blessed.
