Got one of these over your sink?

I want to pull out the bulb. But I can't easily remove the lens, tho I did maybe one year ago. Don't want to force it, and don't want to break the glass lens.

Anyone?

Bruce, Bruce, Bruce,

You're wearin' me out!!! The glass lens removal is to simply turns the lens counterclockwise about a 1/8 of a turn and lift off. Reverse the process to reinstall. See my pix below. Remember to keep you finger prints (body oil) off the bulb as it is halogen. IIRC its a 10 watter. Have fun!

Thanks. What I thought. It's stuck. Guess I'll get out the old prybar.

I'm just trying to see the bulb size, as I'm getting ready to replace most of my incandescent bulbs with LEDs.

Bruce, If I remember right it is a G4 base, 12v, 10 watt bulb. I have replace mine in the ceiling several times. For what LED's cost I would just replace the bulbs as they burn out. I get replacement bulbs at Ace Hardware and Wal-mart. Cost on the last one I bought was $5.00-$6.00 I believe. I looked at LED's in Yuma and they wanted around $34.00 per bulb. I was thinking the same thing that you want to do. Since I replace the OEM bulb I have not had to replace any of the replacement bulbs.

$12 to $17 depending on # of LED... and better quality than most.

Thanks.

What Midnite said. $18 - $20 for tower bulbs for spot lights in these bath lights and task lights, and $18 for 921s in the common ceiling lights.

Advantage - 10% draw on lighting for us dry campers. We're on our way to Death Valley to stay in dry camping with no generators. Time to man-up on these bulbs.

I figure to replace the bulbs in my most used fixtures and save the extra bulbs for the basement and other lights.

Update. I decided not to upgrade to LEDs. I don't dry camp enough to justify the cost right now. May reconsider when the bulbs fail, particularly the 921s with a lower difference between incandescent and LEDs.
