Yup. No diff there. In fact, I make a point to move my jacks and slides on shore power when available, thus guaranteeing a full 14v.

Fixed at last

Today I finally finished fixing the accursed hydraulic system.

Technician had already replaced the entire main pump and valve system. Today, at CurtisP's suggestion, I checked the main ground wire to the frame. All of a sudden, the slides did not move from the jacks, and only one jack moved with the slides.

So I replaced the valve at the head of that one jack with an extra valve that Jack had sent me some months earlier. Fixed!

Then I tried to reinstall the round foot of the front jack. The hydraulic ram had pulled thru the foot. But I could not remove the nut at the bottom of the ram. Occurs to me now that the ram may have broken at the end. I will send a pic to Lippert to see if they will cover it under warranty. Otherwise will have it welded.

No more problem with jacks and slides moving on their own!!

So I feel great about fixing this thing. I raise the trailer, unhitch, and drive the truck away from the trailer. Bamm!! The Bargman cable somehow slipped onto my bumper and caught on my tow ball. Two piece cable where one will do.

Small potatoes by comparison. I'll just put DW in the truck bed and she can pull the trailer breakaway cable when I hit the truck brakes.

Thanks to all who offered advice. I shall not forget you, cause I will undoubtedly need help again.

Bruce

So glad you got it working, Bruce. I had a loose bolt on one of my front jacks today which I fixed. Are you sure yours is a a nut and not a bolt? Your unit is older than mind and I know they made some changes over the years. The ram on mine would spin when I tried to tighten. I retracted the ram fully and I was able to tighten the end bolt. See ya soon! rockybaby
