Two days and three nights now at the Rialto, CA at the Lippert factory. Nightime dry camping in the cul-de-sac. They took two days to replace my ram, which I will discuss in another thread. However, they have just started on a more mysterious problem.
In the last few months, my front street side hydraulic jack has been moving up v-e-ry s-l-o-w-l-y. Now it has reached the point where the LR slide moves in after the jacks fully retract. And the slide will even drift in after letting up on the jack control. The slide will move out after the jacks fully deploy. All this movement even with the wires pulled off the control valves , meaning movement just with the motor moving.
Lippert guys here have not worked with a combo system like this, meaning slides and jacks together. So they hope to find an expert in the company to tell 'em what is wrong.
I just wonder if anyone here has seen something like this.

I can tell you that Curtis at PI will know the answer. My best guess would be a solenoid leaking (probably trash in the solenoid). The solenoids are normally closed when not engaged (electrically shut off-no fluid flow from solenoid). When the motor runs the fluid is leaking by the solenoid and applying a circuit it shouldn't and making others run slow. Just my thoughts....
Is fluid level at proper level? Have you tried extending and retracting all jacks and slides several times??....to purge any air that may in the system.

SKIA again!
Would one leaking solenoid for a jack effect a slideout? I assume you refer to one of the solenoids at the motor, not the jack, cause looks to me like the controls on the motor are the same as the controls on the front jack.
I like tires better.

Bruce, You might do a search. I recall that this came up a couple/ three months ago. It was an adjustment on the solenoids.

Again......I'm not too smart on this issue....but I do know that the solenoids on the pump assy. have no "adjustment". You can open the solenoid by turning the center screw (3/32 allen head) counterclockwise and that simulates the solenoids being energized, and of course clockwise closes and so that the solenoid is closed and won't flow fluid. rockin'

Bruce, I really hope you are on the road. Dry camping on the street where you are at also has lots of gang activity. I am serious I have heard the gun shots and even been close enough to see the flames shoot out the end of the barrel. Terrace Village RV Park is gated and Grand Terrace is very close to your location.

And the answer is...leaking pump. Or so the Lippert guys say. They don't have one in stock. In fact, Lippert Somewhereelse must build one for me. Guess business is slow.
It will take 5-10 business days to arrive. So I'm off to Tucson with a scissors jack welded next to the front street side jack, as it tends to move up without instruction. [Rear curb side slide too.] Upon delivery, Lippert will hire a local guy to install it.
All covered under the five year warranty, so we OK.
Thank for the help. I am now well versed in hydraulic systems.
Book - thanks for the warning. Didn't see any sign of crime in our "neighborhood." But then we were in the nice side of the town next to a factory and railroad tracks deadend no lights.

Book2, you are so right about that area. We spend a lot of time at Mountain Lakes park in Lytle Creek,CA. We go to Rialto and Fontana from time to time to shop, etc.

Thanks, okie-dokie, for the name of a new park I can check out if I ever have to work again in that area.

Arrived in Tucson with slide/jack movement worsening. Bent scissors jack attempting to level the trailer with the slide and hydraulic jacks making their own decisions on up/down in/out.
KramalotInn to the rescue with his 6 ton bottle jack . Now awaiting rescue by Lippert technician.
More to come....

Bruce,
Please be careful and not damage KramalotInn's bottle jack....your about halfass dangerous!!! I swear to goodness you'd mess up a gold nugget! Just funnin' with ya.....gotta laugh to keep from crying. One of these day....you'll look back and laugh on all this. Of course, no one in the loony farm will care! Wonder if they'll let you do your own diagnosis on yourself???
