(some other brand)

Wife really wants a washer/dryer, and we found a Teton Homes unit that we could be calling "home" soon.

Have you looked at the 35' or 36' TKE w WD? The new ones have more than adequate space for storage and the W/D unit. You shouldn't any trouble pulling either one w the F550.

Good Luck

Doug & Jutta,

Wouldn't it be easier to put a W/D in what you have?

Doug & Jutta,
I hate to see you leave us for SOB, but wish you both the best with your new home. I'm sure Bryan can have an Excel built to your specifications

I want to make one thing very clear.

WE LOVE OUR EXCEL!

We are not thinking about changing due a washer and dryer, that is just the plus for the DW.

Tom and Paul have met me, for those of you that haven't met me, I am just a little over 6'4" tall and I am getting a little bit tired of hitting my head on different parts of the interior of our coach. When we bought this rig, we weren't fulltimers yet, and my height wasn't much of an issue, but after a year of living in it, I am feeling less and less comfortable.

Things could be much worse, heck, there is a couple parked next to us living in a class B+, I'm sure they would love the room we have in our rig. (but they aren't 6'4" tall!!!)

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm 6'0" and I hit my head in this thing on a regular basis. Told DW that if I go missing, she can get my DNA sample by wiping down any ceiling or upper cabinet surface.

And don't get me started about the outside of the BR slide.

Please join me in wishing Doug & Jutta the best with their new Teton. They were one of the original members of our forum back in November 2006. Enjoy your travels Doug & Jutta and don't be a stranger to the forum.

As I type this, we are still in our Excel, but we should be moving this week.

There will still be Excel in our blood for a while, so you won't get rid of me that easy!

Doug,
Once you get that "Excel Experience" in your blood, you're always a member of this family. Tom ('Rockin') is looking at this 57ft, 45,000 GVW, fifth-wheel

I can just see me with my "SirKnowItAll" logo on the side of this baby!

All joking asside...can you image hauling this thing in towns and all around. You'd have to have a "flight plan" anytime you hit the road. HDT or not, IMHO a pain to maneuverer.

We pulled some 7% grades yesterday in Eastern WA and western MT. Sometimes at 25 MPH in 100*F ambients....wished I had one of your "big mother" trucks yesterday! The disk brakes on Journey did a super job on the other side. Will never have drum brakes again....ever!
