Just returned from having our Excel repaired.

While on our way to have our fifth wheel repaired, we got a call from Ralph telling us that Petersen was closing the doors but the repair shop would be open for the week. Needless to say, we were a little concerned that with the business shutting down, we would not get the quality of service we had always heard we could count on. Once I met Ralph and the guy that would be responsible for our trailer, Ted, I was absolutely comfortable we were in good hands. You could tell they were very troubled but also, that they would take care of us as it was part of their ethics and character. We left feeling good about our repair job, but sad, that another small company had closed its doors. Hopefully someone will buy the company and put the great people who have been left in a lurch, back to work.

It is sad how the how closing was handled and announced. NuWa did it with much more grace.

A lot of close downs happen that way. I know in my home town, workers came to work Monday am and found doors locked. Something supposingly concerning theft and sabotaging might happen. Lots of offices escort you out with severance check in hand. Not saying it's the right thing to do.

NuWa announced they were ending production ahead of time. They also kept their service center open (and still is) for repairs and service.

I just found out today that Peterson Ind. Closed its doors. Very Sad!!! I shouldn't be as shocked as I am. I thought they made it through the recession. I haven't been on the forums for a while. Welp, Who's left on the high end market??

Take care everybody!!!
Eddie
