Landing gear switch (how to connect a substitute switch?)

I've ordered a new switch from Lippert, (yeah, our favorite supplier), but where else should I look? A new cylinder is $4-500. The switch is totally dead. No response extend or retract. 2014 33IKE. All help appreciated.

Just had the same problem occur (lost tactile sensation on the switch; it just flops ). No Lippert switch available but I did find this 12V/40amp double throw switch (Sigma, Elkhart, IN). Picture attached. So, how do I make sure to connect the harness leads properly? Can I use a volt/ohm meter to do some pre-testing?

Also, is there any way to activate the defective switch using a screwdriver to press it?

Thanks!
