Can't take credit for the this idea originally, but just put my twist on it. Used schedule 40 1/2" PVC, plug caps for the pipe, 3/8" X 7" bolts, washers, and self locking nuts. Cut pipe to length, drill hole in the end of the plugs. Install the bolt and washer in the end cap and painted flat black Replaced the thru-pins in the foot pads with the bolts, washer and self locking nuts. End cap plugs act as "knobs" to aid in handling. Easy to do and helpful and cleaner when lifting or retracting the footpad. No more broken fingernails for Donna on setting up!

Thanks 'Rockin' -- great idea! One of those "Why didn't I think of it...?" ideas that's so simple.

Tom,
Do you actually remove your lift pads when traveling? If so, why? Our dealer told me it was not necessary to remove them.

Jerry,
The handle that Tom added is utilized to lift the pad into the stowed position. Pull the upper leg pin and lift-up on the handle to raise the inner landing gear tube. Keeps your mittens clean.

Heck Jerry, I'll bet Tom is working on a way to attach those cement pads to the feet, so he won't have to pick them up each time he re-locates!
