Anyone have any ideas on how we can keep one another updated about our current location? Motojava, I found out too late, was close to us when we were in TX. Unfortunately we missed the opportunity. It would be nice to visit with others in the group when they are nearby. We sure did enjoy our visit with Tom & Donna when we were n Wisc Dells this past summer.

Tim,
Before Chief left he set up an Excel Locator which I believe is in the Permanent Blues threads at the top of the Excel Forum.
New--Excel Family Map Instructions
I know I have not updated in awhile.

Sorry we missed you. Ours was a hurried trip over the Christmas Break. We enjoyed Corpus but I think Yuma may be our next visit and where we will stay during the cold months.
We did see an Excel at Ft Stockton KOA on 23 Dec 08. We got in after dark and left early so I did not check with the folks. We have 4 months left of working in Moriarty and then it is off to Maine, well sort of!
I liked your website, very professional! I need to get my nephew to help me out with mine.
Take Care and keep us posted,

Phil

It seems the Excel locator is down. I can't get in using the link.

We're currently in Deming, NM. We'll be here untill feb 3rd and then start a weeks move to Albuquerque for 1 month. Hope to see you in Moriarty Feb 13 & 14 at RV Sales.

Tim,
http://www.buddymapping.com/maps/ExcelMap

I agree with you. It is a long buried thread but would sure be nice. Perhaps MM can determine if it is a live access or a done deal. Seems dead to me.
We will be at RV Sales unless the sky falls or something. Hope to see you there and have a safe journey. Are you staying at Dreamcatcher? Really enjoyed that park. Flooded my site and others when I hooked up the city water and left the fresh water on last year.

Phil

Tim,

The locator has been down for many, many months, actually before Chief's stepping down. Mama has been trying to get the links removed. I think Curt Brown was the master (Chief worked with him) of this thing, but unfortunately it never did work too good, but I miss it just the same.

Looks like we just have to announce where we're at when we move....better than nothing. Wonder if we should have a "<span class="ev_code_RED">where are you now</span>" sticky at the top of the page??? Mama???

BTW...we enjoyed visiting with you guys too! Nice rig you got there! rockin'

Thanks Rockin,
I posted our local on the map back when and have never updated it. Sorry I have not been tracking on that.

Yes- It has been down for awhile... as has the Dealer locator link. I have been slowly trying to put together a map like this....

I can do something similar if folks wanted it done that way....????

If Mama would OK this idea. I would suggest a stickee at the top with a header of "Where are we at?" Then we could post our location daily if we wnted to.

I like that. We could then search it for information too.

OK..There WILL be stringent rules on this one...I will also try to do a map of where everyone is and keep it updated- so you can also click on the map zoom into the area you are at and see if anyone is nearby.

It can NOT go off topic- so let's continue to discuss what info you want to show in each post...

<UL TYPE=SQUARE><LI>Member Screen Name
<LI>Physical Location (If you are at a park - do you want the space number also?)[/list]
...Another thought- as I was in Quartzsite with no real location- we used longitude-latitude to find people...thoughts please...
What else??
MM

By the way- I do miss the Southwest

I agree with the no off topic. We must remember the K.I.S.S. system for this.

We have this over on the Escapees HDT Forum.

Mmember post in the sticky
"Excel Members On The Road, Including Their Current Locations where they are."

Memmber post would read:

"We are in Oakley, Kansas at our house for the winter."

Short, simple and sweet.

No need for Mama to do a bunch of work.
