Has anyone used a macerator with the Pivot Ez on their Excel? Don't want to dismantle the Pivot Ez but use it on the end of the hose. I am looking at the portable Flo-Jet but wondering what powers it. Will a portable 12v charger work to power it? (think I read somewhere where someone used a charger to do this).
From looking at the Flo-jet at Camping World, it looks like a twist adapter on the end of my sewer hose would make the connection to the end of the macerator.
Any help would be appreciated...want to get the right thing that will work with our Excel. Thanks !

Linda,

In looking at the Flo-jet, I would disconnect the elbow that the Pivot ease uses to attach to the discharge line and attach the flo-jet there. It is not a big deal to unhook the elbow, about 15 seconds to do. As for 12-volt, just use battery clamps to attach to your battery. Your batteries are right there also.

Lindaxtwo, you might call Smith Center and pick their brains on how to hook it to the EZ Flow. Please post photos when you get this project completed. Not to take away from you’re thread but since it is around the EZ Flow. I have done this with SOBs when boon docking siphon the black water into the gray water tank to buy a few more days before dumping. You would have to remove the elbow and install a solid cap with casket. When dumping put a five gallon pail under the cap to catch what is in the pipes and wear you’re rubber gloves. Anyone with an Excel done this yet.

I will take a look at the elbow set-up that you are mentioning here. My batteries are next to the entry door on opposite side of rig. Does anyone know how long the 12 v connectors are that come with the Flo-Jet to know if it would reach that far ?
