Looking for the voice of experiance here. We live fulltime in our 2005 RDE for about a 1 1/2 years now. We have a magic-store sofa with the fold out bed with the flip up foot rests (like most reliners have). the back of the couch is low and the it seems the back of the seat is low as well. I've looked around and the only things out of place or broken are the two metal L brackets on each side, but I can't see how that contributes to the issue.
I could prop up the middle a couple of inches but I was hoping someone had the same issues and could share the solution.

I had one of those sofas in a previous model and just hated it. I removed it and bought a sofa I liked.

Same same. Low back, wrong angle, weak foot rests, too short for sleeping for a 6 footer like me, wide enough for 1.5 horizontal people when opened.

We replaced it with LazyBoy chairs - priceless.

BTW - that couch is bolted together and to the walls with many screws and brackets.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like I need to replace the couch with a lazyboy

BTW Bruce and Jenna, Jeri and I are from the NW (Renton) and Portland. Were down in the heat of south Texas working. I miss the cool crisp air and most of all the trees.....

We loves our La-Z-Boys. Hardest part was finding two that fit the small area of the slide. We bought wall huggers. And still need to move them out a few inches from the wall to recline. Worth the effort, you bet.

Don't be deterred by the first paragraph. You would understand if you read this blog regularly.

Three months now in Oregon Cascades and the San Juan islands. Seen no more than 80 degrees. My heart goes out to you this summer.

Dave.
FYI-off subject.
It's been in the 90s for the last week, (In southern Wash.) We have been 5 weeks without any rain-It's starting to look like Texas here, we even have fire warnings.
