Oh, I see. Just when medical science had made such progress in the last few years with prosthetic devices. I never even noticed the scars on mine.

I suppose PI removed the legs in anticipation of cuts in health care. Tables unite!

Maybe it doesn't completely ride the short bus, it does have a 45* wall brace that makes it feel fairly strong. That allows them to put four chairs under there instead of two like we had before. The pedestal version is much sturdier in the grand scheme of things. The legless version is a lot easier for getting into and out of, however it has a lot more table/wall flex when grandma uses it as her cane while looking for where she left her cane last.
