Can a guy move this pedestal kitchen table out a few inches?

We’ve been trying to figure out where to put our TV, since we removed the first one from the entertainment cabinet for the storage. [We had a CRT TV that took up the entire space.]

Now we’re thinking of putting it in a cabinet behind the table, with a pop-up lift to bring it up above the table surface.

The pedestal is screwed into the floor in four places. Do you think I can just move it forward into the room a few inches, then screw it back down? Or did PI screw it into floor joists or some reinforcement there?

Thanks as always.

We moved ours several times -- remove the four srcrews and relocate. Then screw down into the floor.

Wait a minute. Did you move it in the trailer, or into your motorhome?

We unscrewed ours but left it unscrewed. We like being able to move it out a little to sit comfortably when we have friends over or if sitting to play cards. When it's time to travel, we just flip it upside down on top of a little piece of the non-skid shelf liner and it never budges. We like the flexibility of being able to move it.

DW said that if I saw your new fancy digs, I would never ask you about moving that table in there.

Since this is your thread and you moved it off-topic, I can't pass on the chance to comment (again) It was a very difficult decision, keep 'Semi-Suite' (Mack truck) or Marilyn -- god bless her, she won the flip of the coin!! We started with a MH back in the late '90s and have come full circle. I assure you that this will be our last RV!!

I would have held out till she agreed that I could call her "Mack."

And I have a DW named Billie. Didn't have to hold out. Can't tell the rest of the story in public, but it sure put me in hot water before we first meet each other to see eye to eye.

Ours has no legs so moving it would be rather impossible unlike yours which is mounted on a pedestal.
