Welcome to the forum.

AQ Chicken House, Fayetteville. Ate there a few weeks back. Still as good as ever. We are just across the border on the Okie side so venture that way every once in a while.

A little secret, when someone moves from Texas to Oklahoma, the average IQ of both states increases. And like Rockin' said, don't tell anyone, its a secret.

When I moved here from Illinois, my friends here in Arkansas called me a Yankee, the after a year they called me a Dang Yankee. I ask what is the difference and they said, a Yankee comes for a visit and dang Yankee stays.

Loren, that's pretty good right there!!!!

Do you ever get over to the Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers where the Walmart Executives live? Pretty darn nice. Amazing what kind of house a couple of million will buy in NW Arkansas!!! Many years ago when David Glass was the Walmart King Pin, we went by his house, which was next door to the main clubhouse. Couldn't tell them apart. Boy those were the day. You had to be someone to get by the gate security. Fortunately, I had my dealer get me a pass. Pretty swanky, just like our Excels!!!! Ha.

I have not been driven anywhere near the Country Club, way out of our price range, but I have heard a lot about the homes there. The LPGA tournament was going on this weekend, and I heard the traffic was horrible. My wife and I both worked at Northwest Health in Springdale. She was a Certified Critical Care RN in SICU and I was a Registered Cardiac Sonographer. We both did a lot of overtime and was oncall a lot too. We did not explore this area very much because of work and family. It was difficult to get time off together. We both had the same dream, retire early and travel in a RV. My wife and I retired in 2012, she was 58 and I was 60 when we said goodbye to healthcare.

Super, Loran. We are familiar with what you guys did as I'm dealt with a minor heart murmur and my lovely bride has been dealing with A-Fib. I retired at 53 in 2005. We were gonna retire at 50 but 911 clobbered that. With the history of heart disease of the males in my mom's family (out of 5 males, the oldest lived to 54.5 years). All died of massive heart attacks. Some fit and healthy appearing and others not. The youngest died at 37 years (obese). And both my parents passed with cancer at 62 and 63. That right there is enough to see why we did what we did and damn glad we did it!!! Our traveling days for the last almost 12 years are slowly coming to a halt, but man did we have a great time moving around the beautiful country of ours and meeting some nice folks. All I can say is do it while you can and enjoy!!! rockin'

Rockin, if you would have been drinking some higher class wine instead of that OP wine from Walmart you might live to be in your 80's. The cheap OP has extended your life for now and that;s not all bad.
