No paint behind Awing on full body painted units

Just found out that the coach is not painted behind the Awning bracket due to being glued on the side of the coach with same glue used on the fiberglass and the chance it would not adhere to the clear coat it is not painted there,
So with that info that makes since this came from Ralph today when he called the paint shop and found out why for use.
i just wanted to pass this along. John & Barb

Hello all i am sorry i was not more detailed before, Ralph explained to me that the awning brackets are bolted to the coach but also glued with the same glue used on the fiberglass walls to help support the long awning. The glue will not stick to the clear coat paint which is on all full body painted coaches. Thus, the bracket is left in place, and that area will retain the original fiberglass color. Hope this clears up the confusion. John

Are you removing the awning or replacing it with another style?

We had a small water leak from the awning bracket that CDI did not seal right so the awning was removed and the bracket was sealed right and awning reinstalled.
I crawled up on the roof in Albany,GA and tried to seal it some myself that is how i found out that it was not painted there.
We are winding down our visit here at the factory's service department and they are supper folks once you visit here you will remember again why we all bought Excel coaches.
We had the chance to meet a lot of folks here the employees and other Excel owners, we enjoyed our visit everyone was nice and friendly every wheres even in town.
Ralph and the service department and vicki are excellent.
And what can i say about the factory that anyone that owns a Excel does not already know they build a quality units, everyone in the factory said hello when we was on the tour and answered all questions.
The 2015 counter tops are real nice we are thinking about getting them in our 2014 maybe next trip.
