D,
Welcome aboard and please visit us often as we like hearing your adventures! I really like the layout on the RDO. That plan no longer exist. What year is yours? A 38', if I remember right, is a triple axle unit. You'll be happy pullin' it with that HDT. That is one big and heavy unit. We have some members here that do the HDT thing and will glad to share their knowledge. Again welcome aboard the Excel train! Tom

Welcome David! I'm sure you'll find that iRV2.com has a lot to offer the RV'er and our Excel Owner's Forum is a great place to share your Excel Experiences. Also great to welcome a fellow HDT'er to the Excel Forum.

Welcome ! We have an '07 36RDO and love it ! We loved the layout from the moment we saw it several years ago. We are glad we got it before the floor plan went out of production. Hope you enjoy your unit.

D,
Welcome and congrats. We are in the exact same position as you. House has been on the market for 13 months so far and we have spend 6 nights in it in that time. Sure like it out here on the road.
Sure would like to see a picture of that 387, your new hauler body and your Excel. I'm assuming Henry built your ET hitch?
Edited to see if the sig line and rig pic will show up....

David,
If I had Virg's (MakinSmoke) money I would have Henry build my bed and hitch -- the man is talented.
It would be nice too see that 387 Pete/Excel at the family reunion next year !

Hi all
Henry did design the hitch but in fact i was tthe one who built it under Henrys supervision. The bed I built completely. ther are pics on escapees forum under the hdt blog. Look for David Alleys wonder bed. I would like to make it to the reunion but it all depends on the sale or rental of the house.
