I agree with rockintom on the disk brakes: even if you don't get the Mor-Ryde IS, be sure to get the disk brakes...you won't be sorry. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

When we were at the dealer we asked if a certain model on their lot had Mor-Ryde w/DB. The sales guy said he would find out for us. When he came back he said it did not, and then he implied that it would be wiser to get air bags in our truck instead of the Mor-Ryde. Since we have no RV experience, we don't know if that is the case. Can you enlighten us on this detail? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

In my honest opinion, your dealer is pointing you in a different direction. Air bags in your truck will help your truck ride. The mor-ryde helps the ride of the trailer. I have a Link air ride suspension on my truck, I also have a new Curt 20K 5th wheel hitch that has rubber mount blocks to the "shoe" of the hitch, and I also have the Demco glideride kingpin. All of this makes for a smooth connection from my tow vehicle to the trailer. But I only have the normal leafspring/shocks on the trailer.

I hope to upgrade the trailer suspension/brakes during a vist to Elkhart IN

So, airbags on your truck is a good idea, but it is not the same as "helping" your trailer suspension with the Mor-ryde system.

Doug, that was quite a mouthful... and my head is spinning. I'm not a "truck" girl... YET...but although it is a bit mind boggling, I get the picture. Thanks, Doug!

Everyone's input has been really helpful. I think our list is coming along pretty good.
