We have been checking out the Excel website, and we are finding that it is not the best of websites to try to get information from. Does anyone know where to look for ALL the options that are offered for the Excel 5th wheels. My husband is currently speaking with the factory regarding a desk in the 33RSE, but it would be nice to know what all of the options are.
We see that some of the options are listed on the website, and it seems that the trailers come with many of the options as standard - which we really like!
Thanks so much!
Patty

Welcome to the forum! We look forward to hearing more from you in the near future. To look at options on the website you must go to the "interior features and the "exterior features" and go from there. Not real user friendly and is dated. I don't think the website reflects the '09 stuff which I believe may have some changes and will be a little while before it gets updated. My guess is that Excel wants you to consult your local dealer for specific info. Hope that helps. Tom

HI rockintom, Thanks so much for the warm welcome! We've managed to find the options on the website, but we were wondering if there are others that we don't know about. We were wondering if it reflects the 2009 stuff, but I guess not yet. Yes, we will definitely talk to the dealer about the options when we go speak with them later in the month.
We just wanted to have all of our duckies kinda in a row before we went to speak with the dealer. It seems that the Limited comes with many options as standard. I just didn't want us to have any family arguments regarding options while we are at the dealer. Altho we usually agree on most things.
Thanks you so much for taking the time to answer my questions!
Patty

Your welcome and my pleasure! I know what you mean on having your ducks in a row when going to the dealer. I know you asked on another thread about the 33ft RSE. It is one of the most popular floorplans. We have friends that have them and like them alot. I know you're aware that Excel has the $2,000 rebate on 'til the end of the month. Making me think hard about gettin' a fresh one! If you got questions on options after you get them worked out as much as possible......you can PM me as I have my "opinions" on most of them after 3+years of FTing! I think we have most (or many) on our rig. Later, Tom

Thanks so much, Tom! That's great to know that the 33RSE is a floorplan that people are enjoying! We were originally looking at another brand of 5th wheel, but we just couldn't find a floorplan in the model that we wanted. SO we ended up here, and we have been very happy with what we have found so far!
Yes, I did know about the Rebate! Thanks for your offer of opinions on options when we have them all figured out! I really appreciate that! If we have an questions, I'll be sure and let you know!
Thanks again,
Patty

My 'belated' welcome to iRV2.com and the Excel Forum as I see our "Excel Roving Ambassador", Mr.Tom (aka RockinTom), has already greeted you folks. We are looking forward to officially recognizing you as an "Excel Owner's Forum Member" and hopefully meeting you at the Excel Family Reunion next spring.

It is a shame that they changed it, but, Excel's website used to have a price calculator that allowed you to select a model, then it showed you the options that were available for that model.
Welcome to the forum John and Patty!
(Bryan...bring that feature back to your website! Here is another potential customer that could benefit from that information!)

Patty,
We also wanted a desk in our 33RSE. We unscrewed the table and removed 2 chairs. 2 are all we need. We moved the table a little closer to the entertainment center. Bought a small desk at Wally World and put it in the back corner of the slide. One of the chairs works for the desk and the table. The desk is not high quality but it works for us.

Doug and Jutta, Thanks for your most gracious welcome too! We found that price calculator some where - must have been on an internet search. John filled it out and sent it off to Excel. I'm not sure if it still works tho!
Paul, I really like your desk idea. DH got an email from Excel saying that they could build a desk in the table area. They sent DH a pic, and it looks pretty neat! The dining table folds down, and then the desk area is up against the window. I'm not thrilled about having the table disappear while DH is working, but I love the floorplan because of all the windows - so I am willing to compromise in that area.
Thanks so much for your desk idea tho, I will talk to DH about it - that may be an option for us! There DOES look like there's some extra room in the table area.
Patty

Patty,
We did the something similar to Paul and Cheryl. Of course we have a different floor plan but the concept is the same. I snapped a pic for you to look at. Of course, it just mainly for my bride's computer desk. We have a regular computer cabinet and place for printer, etc. built into the entertainment center which came standard on our floorplan.
