We're getting ready to go to the KC, MO area next month for my daughters wedding. Need to set up tours at Excel & New Horizons. How long does a plant tour typically take? I know I'll have to add on time as Larry is always full of questions. (Bryan can attest to that from our visit with him @ the Harrisburg RV show in Sept after LOW!)

We'll probably spend the night @ the B&B in Smith Center...Inglebrook? I know I've seen mention of where to eat dinner in town, but don't remember now. Suggestions anyone on the not to miss resturants?

Thanks much!

ps....it's snowing.....AGAIN...in Chicago. We are getting a doozy for our last winter here!

Larry and Linda,
For the Excel tour I would allow 1 to 2 hours, depending on how many Questions you ask and how close you inspect items that are important to you.

Duffy's for steak. I think they are only open certain times of the week. Inglebrook use to have a evening meal also. I don't now about what they do today.

Here is a couple of links.

Thanks---i was on that site last night. thought it might be Duffy's, but not sure. Ordered some tourist stuff too, but not sure how much time we'll have to devote to that. Of course the tours are MAIN focus.

Linda,
Done 2 tours at each plant mentioned. I would figure at least 2 hours...so your not rushed.
To eat, for sure Second Cup downtown on Main St. Great breakfest specials, good service and nice local crowd (much better IMHO than Paul's Cafe. Good juicy hamburger real cheap Jiffy Burger. Within walking from the Excel service center. I thought Duffy was OK, but not fantasic.

When taking the NH tour...Phil or his son (owners) will do the tour. Nice units but I thought pricey. Have fun! HTH rockintom

BTW....where are you staying at KC...I live there for 23 years and there ain't no great RV parks in the area. PM or email me (tomclapham@hotmail.com) if you want more info on KC or anything else. rockintom

There is a small RV park right in Smith Center...Sunset Park Campground. Nothing fancy, but it'll do for a couple of days.
