We've hit on this subject a couple of times in the past. Looking for current feedback on cost and reliability. I'm sure I'll get an ear full from Virgil as he had problem(s) with his system. Appears to be simply to install and I've read positive results on another forum.

Nope, wasn't me with trouble. I don't have a Pressure Pro system yet. Got it on my list of WANTS but it just hasn't made it to the top of the list yet. I'm still working on stuff like seats being recovered. However, my wife says I need to hop to it.

I purchased the system back in May. The first trip with it was in June and I got a false alarm for low pressure on one tire after approx. 500 miles. I called the mfg. and they suggested I move sensor to a new tire position. Before I could move to the new location the monitor went completely haywire (low pressure readings, no sensor readings and no readings at all). The mfg. said to return it and they would look at it. After looking at it they decided to replace it and they have mailed me a new monitor. Total time for replacement was about 3 weeks. We will be leaving tomorrow and I will be able to test the new monitor. I'll let you know the outcome. Virgil, what sort of problems have you had? The install is very easy. I think I'll reserve judgement til we make a couple more trips.
Paul

My error -- Virgil did not have the problem. He copied a post from another forum for our information and when I did a search, it reflected Virgil as the poster.
Thanks Paul, seems most folks are happy with the system. The negatives are close to what you are experiencing.

Paul,
The Escapee's HDT forum. One of our HDT brothers is also a Pressure Pro representative.

We have the Pressure Pro on our truck and fifth wheel, and really like it. So far, we haven't had a low pressure situation where we would receive a warning, but it sure is convenient in the morning to sit in the truck and scroll through all the tire positions checking the pressure!

Linda, approximate cost of your system? Exact $$$ amount not necessary as I understand there will be some fluctuation between dealers.

John, the system cost us $690 plus sales tax...$190 for the monitor plus $50 each for the 10 sensors that go on each tire. We bought ours from Eric's RV Performance Center when they were in Quartzsite this past winter (we also had them install our PacBrake).

Thanks Linda,
This gives me an idea as I'll require ten sensors also. I'm going to check with a Pressure Pro representative that frequents the HDT Forum on Escapees.

John,
That's real close to the price that Mike charges. He'll have them at the HDT Wichita Rally and he show them in one of the seminars.

John, I just put the ten sensor system on my coach and toad. Made a few short trips and have had no problems at all. Takes a few minutes for it to pick up the sensors after you plug it in, but that gives me time to get ready to roll. It was $690 everwhere I looked on the net. I was told by Doran that battery life on transmitters is real close to 4 years now and you can help that by unplugging the monitor when not needed and the transmitters will go to sleep. Hope this helps...............Jim
