question regarding refrigerator drain

I never paid any attention before, but noticed that the Norcold doesn't have the drain tube coming out the vent slots like SOB I had years ago.

Where does the water from the fridge drain out on the Excel?

Have you tried removing the vent , to look inside the rear of the enclosure, my drain was not visible , it hangs above the vent and drips through.

Mine never came out the vent slots like your SOB rig. However some will drain into a plastic or metal container located at the rear or they will bypass the collection container and route it directly into an extension tube that drains the water below the bottom of the coach.

Pull the outside cover and look in there. Probably right there with a bug cover on the end of the pipe. Good luck..

Bib Mike,

On a Norcold, the water go outside to a black plastic drain cup mounted in the outside refer opening. It is near the area of the refer that has quite a bit of residual heat. Norcold's theory is the cup gets hot enough to evaporate the water and that is mostly true. However under the right ambient temps and humidity conditions, the cup overflows and runs over, which runs on the outside refer floor and down the side of the rig. I made a overflow drain for all three of my Excels to eliminate that situation. I think I did a write up on it in this forum many years ago. Here it is http://www.irv2.com/forums/f116/best...tml#post676172 Scroll down to post #306. rockin
