Hope this question doesn't show my ignorance but I have always heard there are no dumb questions. So here goes.

We are full-timers. Our 5th wheel does not "sit-up". We are in it constantly.

What do I need to do to the water heater if anything?

Is it good to drain the tank a little ever so often to keep the rust out of the bottom? Hope you know what I mean by that. When we lived in our "stick" built home; I would drain the water heater ever so often to remove any sludge at the bottom of the tank.

Thanks.

bayou,
Living in the RV FT I service the WH about 3 times a year. Atwood recommends it 2 times a year. This includes flushing the tank out good and refilling with an an air gap in the top. When you drain the tank you still have some water below the drain hole. That is a real good reason to work your flushing wand all around good. There's alot of good videos and info on the internet and Atwood owners manual has some good info too. HTHs. rockin'
