If it's been covered, would someone send me the link? Otherwise - One of our recliner's reclinng/rocking mechanism is now jammed and the other is making progress to being jammed. Before I bother Jack, anyone know how to lube and unstick the recliner mechanism? Thanks!!! Davydee

Mine has a lock at the base of the recliner to take to out of glide and rock mode for traveling. Are you sure the lever is fully engaged? I have never done any maintenance on any recliner in my life time. Wow, wearing out two recliners in one summer sounds old! I figured you’d be needing to replace the mattress by now!

Lack of use... Nope - not sure lever is engage (nor the brain of the operator moving the level),,,

Dave, did Curtis show you how the locking lever on the chairs has to slide into the slot in the frame of the chair to lock the chairs for travel? He said it was real easy to bend the mechanism if you miss the slot. Might be a point to check. Enjoyed our time at SC with you and Donna.

Jesse

Nope - we didn't even discuss it. But that sounds like it could be our problem. Any chance you have a picture that'll lead me to the correct slot? So how you guys doing? Thanks!!!!

Dave, turn the chair over with the back parallel to the floor and the locking lever up. As you pull the ring base up, look at the mechanism and you will see a slot approximately 1 1/4 inch long by 3/16 inch high about half way down the left side rail. As you operate the locking lever, grasp the base ring and pull it into position until the "tongue" on the mechanism mates with the slot. Then move the locking lever into the locked position. It may be that some part of the mechanism is bent.

We are both well and getting ready for OBX. I am enjoying your posts on your trips and adventures with your Excel. Take care. Hi to Donna.

Jesse

Jesse, your instructions were perfect, but ours are bent & I don't have the proper tools to repair so that it lines up with the slot when we lock. It's on the list for the next visit to SC. Thanks!!! David

Dave, glad the info was helpful.

Still at OBX and having a great time. Weather is great and fishing is good. Also, eating too much. Hope you and Donna are well. Take care.

Jesse
