Recommended tire pressure for 2012 Excel Wild Cargo
Hello All. I recently purchased a used 2012 Excel Wild Cargo (Was TeamTJ's rig). It is currently running 16" Goodyear tires. The tires indicate 110 PSI at max load. Any recommendations from other WC owners on tire pressure. Will not be hauling anything in the garage and all the tanks will be empty. Making my first long trip from Southern Colorado to Tampa Bay area in Florida. Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
Frank Mann

The Goodyear website has a tire inflation chart based on actual weight per tire. I have the G614 GY tires I run 105# cold. After about a hour rolling they warm up and stay about 110#-112#. I have a TPMS and watch temps and pressure for issues. No problems so far pulling FT. Not a WC though.

I wonder how you are able to measure as accurate a pressure of 112 psi.
Most devices are 5 to 10 % off and mostly give to high pressure.
But Weighing fully loaded first , and then per tire , is the best, second best per axle.
Also need sises of tire or maximum load and speedcode to calculate it for you .
Best is not to use American lists , because they are still made for LT and ST , with a formula that leadst to to high loadcapacity for the pressure.

My TPMS states it is accurate within 2% I also check with a digital tire gauge. You will never be spot on. The GY G614 is 75 MPH speed rated with load capacityof 3750 lbs @ 110 psi. And is a LT tire.

Digital readout...however accurate or inaccurate they may be. Compared to second reading on standard tire pressure readings...pop out gage...which also measures in lbs.

Yup I use both. I get same reading within a pound or so because the manual hash marks are 1# increments.

I use both and use one to check the other. Regarding pressure. I always use the max air pressure in the GY 614 tire. These tire have lots of flex which creates heat. That is my opinion based on 80,000 miles of towing with them (blowout/tread seperation free). rockin'

googled for Excell Wild Cargo and found pictures of 5th wheeler tripple axle , 6 wheels on the ground when driving, so heavy stuff. Found GVWR of 22500 and Hitch weight of 2800 wich leaves about 20000 lbs on 6 tires of 3750 given as maxload
Did not have an idea what kind of vehicle it was.
But if You the man has same tires as Chief2, so also speedrated 75m/120km/h.
They flex more then a Q speedrated , wich is for up to 160km/99m/h.
Then to calculate a highest possible pressure , wich dont give bumping ( for 5th wheeler only important for schrews in woodwork not trembling loosse, or plates and glases wont break) I have to substract first 4 Loadindex steps before putting it in my made calculator. But filled it in in other spreadsheet and gives ( if every data is right), an adviced fill pressure of 120 psi and if it drops to 100 psi most sertainly damage will get to the tires.

Huh? ...lost me...lol...I have never had a problem with anything breaking or woodwork screws poping from a hard ride. If that's even what you meant.

Welcome to the forum! I have the 17.5" Michelin tires on my rig. They have a 120 psi max tire rating. I run 110 PSI.

I've had G614's on my last 2 rigs. They're the reason I now run 17.5s. Numerous blowouts. Watch out for cupping on both edges, even with low mileage, and run the max.
