Daryl, Thanks for your idea. Smarty.

The other day I did a test inside one of the cabinets. Held a hair dryer against the vinyl covering on the wall board. Got it real hot and it didn't damage the wall board. Tried wiping the same spot with Goo Gone and it didn't damage the wall. Then tried Goof Off it takes the finish off the wall. I'll continue this project once we have some time down in the valley.

Tom, my old truck is still sick. Cheryl says no new one until the next administration straightens out this economy.

Paul

on edit and you know why - nice try though!

I removed the border that surrounds our sink in the bathroom yesterday. It turned out to be an easier project than I expected. I slightly warmed up the border with a hair dryer. I found a loose area where I could start peeling it back and while slowly peeling it back I kept warming the adhesive side with the hair dryer. The border material itself is very heavy and came off in one piece with very little effort. Quite a bit of adhesive stays on the wallboard. I applied Goo Gone to the adhesive and used a 2" plastic paint scraper to remove the adhesive. That got the majority of the adhesive off but it took several more attempts with the Goo Gone with a rag to remove it completely. Total time on this project was about 1 hour and my wife is very pleased with the new look. I think the border in the kitchen will be another project.

Thanks Paul for the update. I have some Fiesta board paper I got in Mexico if you want to "step it up" a little bit!

Another Goo Gone freak. I think workhorse buys it by the case!!!

Thanks again for the update! RockyWallPaperKing
