The boarder around our bathroom sink is starting to show signs of wear and tear. I would like to remove it. Has anyone here removed theirs? If so, I need some tips on removal. I have removed my share of wallpaper over the years in S&B but only on plaster and drywall. The wall board behind the boarder appears to have a vinyl covering on it and I don't want to damage or loosen it when I take off the boarder. Thanks for your help.

Paul

Paul,
I removed all of our border and replaced with different option that Excel had. My came off very easily BUT our unit was brand new. Before I did it, I talked to Curtis and he said that if I was going to take it off, make sure I did it pretty soon as after a while I may have a problem. Your best bet is to ask Curtis what "may have a problem" means...I get the feeling they have done this more than once. Good Luck!

Paul,

I just talked with Curtis at PI and he was very helpful on another issue. I left a message on his VME and he returned my call within a hour!

P.S. Have you tried to have Cheryl "run the vacuum" over it to see if it loosens it?

Just teasin'.....for y'all that don't know.... this is an inside joke! Lord, I apologize!

Paul,
I forgot to mention that the border is not like a typical wallpaper boarder. It is actually a sticker with adhesive already on it which you apply by way of a peal and stick method. Also it is very thick stuff - far thicker than ordinary stickers etc. A blow dryer applied to it as you go may loosen the adhesive so as not to damage your wall, but just a suggestion...don't know for sure.

Oh and Tom...I thought my son's ADD was bad, but you take the cake!

Sue you don't know me....I'm diagnosed ADHD!

If they would have had that stuff back when I was a kid....I would of been medicated to the MAX! Now I'm just considered very "disruptive and obnoxious....Hmmm, go figure!

Virg,

You're up early this AM...off to work you go!

Mama,

I PM'd you....hope that explains it all.

Sue,

Glad to finally see you loosen up a bit. It's folks like you that turn out to be the most fun....after the ice has been broken. Welcome to the wild and crazy side!
rockybaby

Also those that know Paul and Cheryl....won't even need an explaination on the vacuuming deal....I hope they are NOT as sensitive as I am or I'll be in big trouble!
