just installed new vortex vent fan conversion kits in bathroom and kitchen. they are a little noisier than the original small fans but move alot more air. can't complain considering the reasonable price. installation was easy but had to put spacers under mounting feet so frame would clear lid opening gearing and still seat tight against vent cross brace and you might have to trim a little off the garnish moulding so it fits tight against the ceiling.(tin snips) check 'em out (heng's industries).......mjf.

Just read the description of these fans. Says it installs in a 14" x 14" opening. Which describes the kitch fan, set in a roof opening. But not the bath fan - a 7" diameter round opening in the ceiling with a hose to a roof vent.

So I'm curious about the bath install.

PICTURES!

Don't make me say it again. Cause I will!!

I installed a Fantastic Fan when the factory fan in kitchen and lid went bad they are a real cheap thin plastic that comes from factory. The Fasntastic wires right into the existing rocker switches on wall. If I can do it any one can!!

I replaced my bath vent fans with computer fans, Each fan (4") Moves a bit less air than the faster noiser 5" oringial, but I can put 4 of the computer fans in the opening no problem, A few craft sticks glued to the fans helps keep the blades from arguing with the screen. I got the computer fans cheep. 10 bucks for a box of 12.
