My next challenge. I need to replace the sewer hose on the pivot EZ. Are there any hidden problems when I start taking this system apart? Any directions and suggestions are appreciated. I'll be working on it next week.

Hi Beth,
The job of replacing sewer hose on a E-Z Pivot is a very easy one. Loosen the large worm clamp near the rear of the Pivot tube. This allows the 5" PVC tube to slide back and then you can access the sewer hose. You can then remove the smaller clamp surrounding the sewer hose and remove it. Reverse the technic to reinstall the new hose. 5 minute job.
Things to ponder:
*If you use standard sewer hose (like what came with the unit) it takes a 20ft piece.
*If using heavier duty hose you can get the 20ft and cut down to so that the hose fits inside the tube. I've used the heavier hose in the past and cut off about 3 ft.
*I went back to using standard hose cause it's so much easier to deal with in colder weather. Heavier hose doesn't like to squash back into the tube when stowing.
*One of the biggest enemies of the hose is the UV from the sun. Before I knew this, my first hose lasted 8 months, then it got discolored and had pin holes. I now cover my sewer hose when parked for a while with white plastic drain pipe (from HD or the like). Our original hose is 5.5 years old and still in good shape. Just sayin' HTH rockin'
