I have been trying to plug a leak at the top of my black tank, but to no avail. I have a fabric covering, and the access is from a previously slit partial opening. Will I need to expose the entire black tank in order to remove it? I would appreciate any tips on removing this tank. We have a 2004 35RKE.

Hi Cookieman,

I'm working with at leaking grey tank and on mine, even if it leaks only when near full you'll probably have to pull the tank and see if the tank is repairable or have to install a new one from the bottom. Gettin' the underbelly off isn't for sissies!! I was working in inclimate weather in a RV park and had the rig on a site is way off from level front to rear. When my rig is level the front is 8" off the ground. Probably have about 4 hours total to get the underbelly off. See my recent post on "grey tank leaking water". Otta be fun putting it back in when my new tank arrives. rockin'
