This tarnishes my snooty image.....we are staying in our first National Park tonight. Zion NP at the Watchmen Campground. Pretty darn nice even though we don't have water or sewer at our site, but $9.00 a night ain't bad. Very beautiful park. OMG.......Donna just said our neighbors started a campfire......she can see it and smell the smoke. Get out the air purifier!!! There must some environment guru I can call to report such a thing!!! Boy, am I wound up tight tonight.....must be the fresh air!!! Later, rockin'

That's one fine place to stay, Watchman CG. Took one of my favorite pics there, of cottonwoods bearing seeds in early May.
Nice neighborhood too, with Bryce NP, Arches and Canyonland. And Yellowstone up the road.

Careful, Tom. You may find yourself more and more in need of fresh air and open spaces. Who knows? You might be even able to locate a decent portable hot tub at Camping World.
Take care and enjoy the experience, addictive though it may be for some of us.

Trust me....I looked at "spas to go" and they are tempting. The park managers I've discussed this with say "no freakin' way" or something like that. I think they hold somthing like 100 gals of water!!! And they take about 6-8 hours to heat up. rockin'

Rockin'...it was in 1979 that I stayed in Zion for a few days while traveling on ordrers to the Left coast. Visited several of the National Parks on that trip...to a flat lander from Florida, one of my best times EVER! Enjoy it while you can!

Rockin' I too have been through that area and 'beautiful' just doesn't seem to do it justice. We camped in my ex-BIL's 1975 Winnebago and slept under the stars. Ex wife and kids had the Winnie. Truly 'God's Country' IMO.

Is that a gas grill or is that an electric cord? Do they have a hot tub for you in Zion?

I think the Baby Weber's are gas. As for the Hot Tub, Well he won't look like a prune for a couple of days!!! He'll fill out and need to get him some bibs with cut off legs.

I know whacha mean....it's so peaceful and all. Yesterday when I was doing my afternoon power walk....OK walking around looking for a happy hour..... there was a guy about your age and status. He was laying in an old chase lounge next to his '77 20 ft. Minnie-Winnie with lots wear and tear. He was laying there so peacefully and I went up to bid him good day and he was burning one down. He was doing real good......but I'll be darn he wouldn't hit me on that thing!!!! What's the world coming to Chief? So I just stood there pretending to talk to him......but really just there "nose hittin'" that number! Enough for now!!! rockin' over and out!a
